Fuel Pressure Question (answered)
AFPR is set at 32# at idle. Open throttle and it goes to 41#. OK. If I turn up the reg pressure at all the needle constantly jumps. Like 33 to 40. Wont settle down. Pump reg and filter new this week. Whats up??? :eek:
The damn gage was bad. New gage= steady fuel pressure.

So, are you saying your fuel pressure gauge was bad and it was causing the jumping and after you installed a new one, the pressure held steady?
If so, what was the brand of the faulty gauge and how old was it? What's the brand of the new one?

Jake, the old gage (bad) came from the Zone about 7 years ago. This morning I went to Pep Boys and Advance. (Sunday AM not much open)Both had Actron brand. Looks just like the old one. I bought it on a gamble. $39 bet, and won.
I think Ill get out the SnapOn book after the Cup race. Just dont trust the low cost one any more.
Also I took the car for a drive, and played with the FP when I got back to doublecheck. Still good. :thumbs:
