Cracked Intercooler
The engine backfired and the cooler cracked !!
I have seen better welding. :mad
As you can see the hose clamps are all the ones that came with the kit
and none of the hoses blew off.
Now is a good time to build a larger cooler.

Are you sure the IC is crack? With relative low boost 7-8psi won't cause the IC to crack. The back fired you gotten could means your motor is running on lean condition under WOT. Even with a crack IC you should not getting any backfire because you will pushing all the compressed air to the atmosphere.
