A/C clutch doesnt come on automatically
Had A/C issues for some time now. Spent some loot and purchased the HVAC programmer, HVAC electronic control panel and the high pressure switch on the 89 L98. Juiced it with freon and the A/C clutch wouldnt come on. Shorted the high pressure switch, still no compressor response. So, I grounded the green wire going to the clutch just so we could fill'r up on freon while I had the chance.
When I push the BI-LEVEL button on the control panel, I get fans, I get higher RPM's and I get air, but no cold air, I check the clutch and it isnt going. No matter what the scenario, no clutch.
I tried leaving the wire grounded and the clutch engauges and runs and does a good job, but then it never shuts off. Never. So, I disconned the grounding I had connected.
All appears well, just no clutch engagement.
Any idea???
