So did a calculation even if i only get 40 percent of the advertised 55-60 percent of my HP, i should end up with around 374rwhp on a low end outcome...not sure on the torque...Thats pretty good no?
Good job getting the pulls before the SC goes in. How much boost will it make and will it have an intercooler?
Assuming 6psi with intercooler, I believe they quote 40% gain which should put you at around 450chp (17% DT loss). I believe the boost in torque would be the same percentage.
I've had Mike & Co. dyno my car there before. Are they putting the SC in for ya. They've done a few things on my car a few years back before I started to wrench my own car. They did great work
Yes its Intercooled and it will be running 8psi, ATI advertises 55% to 60% gains....that calculation i did was in my opinion a worse case senario situation ..i defenitly have potential to run higher numbers..He is also doing a custom chip for me
here is what i figure on the low end estimate...figuring i get a poor tune and only get 40% of the advertised 55-60 of my hp....(.40) x 267 =106.8(lets call it 107) 107 + 267 =374 rwhp...this is at the low end worst result...the medium end would be getting 50% (.50) x 267 = 133.5(call it 133) 133 + 267 400rwhp....and my best result wich is getting the full 60% (.60) x 267 = 160.2(160) 160+267=427rwhp...
I'm figuring on getting between the 40-50 percent.......possibly 55%
I am interested in your numbers, so be sure to keep us informed. Im noot sure about the high compression/supercharger combo, but if ATI sells a kit for it then it cant be completley insane. That knock retard may save your engine, so make sure it fully functioning. I think Top Fuel runs high compression with high boost- but, of course those engines have the best parts available AND get rebuilt after every run.... I read some quite negative replies to this in your previous topic, lets hope you prove evryone wrong. The questions you asked about a 52 or 58 TB and a perf. converter- I think you should take the cash you were gonna spend on that stuff and learn to build yourself a new engine. At least learn how to remove and replace the longblock and maybe buy a hoist, engine stand, jack and jackstands. From the way you worded your previous post it doesnt seem like you own some of the bigger tools. Im not saying you engine wont last, Im just saying to be prepared because even if it does last- youll want more soon anyway. That procahrger is probably the biggest external mod you can make (besides nitrous), so the next step is going inside. Good luck, I am eagerly awaiting those post procharger numbers too!
Its funny that you mentioned getting all those tools, i was just looking at Pepboys flyer yesterday and they had an engine hoist(2ton) and a mechanics tool set for some really good prices...i was thinking about getting those....Any books you can recommend on Engine building or repair>?

It's not about proving anyone wrong. It just is what it is.
Scott, your car will be a ton of fun. I say you should be fairly certain to have the 374RWHP that you calculate, but at a maximum. Just keep in mind that it's at 5800RPM. The next mod you should think about is a near gear. It will compliment the HP and torque curve. .... Unless you plan on rebuilding and running more boost someday, then a new gear might be overkill.
Start posting threads and searching archives in the C4 Forced induction forum. There's some guys in there doing some amazing things and there's a lot to be learned...No offense NA guys
My car went into the shop today for a procharger as well and I'll post the results as well. My question is do you really need a custom tuned computer chip or can you run stock?
If everything else is stock yes you can tune it using the stock computer and FMU. The key is tuning. The proper way is on a dyno. Though, you'll probably make more power with a reprog'd ECM, it's not absolutely necessary.
It'll be dynoed after the install. DEZ Racing is doing the work..my only concern is the idle condition and leaning out problem I hear about. Hopefully things will be fine. I dropped it off today and they had a Mustang with 1200HP to the wheels on the dyno!!!! Absolutely SICK!
Idle is not a problem if you have stock injectors. The FMU increase fuel pressure under boost to up fuel demands....Not the best and safest way to do it, but it works.
