ENGINE OIL

You won't believe it but there is no Mobil 1 5w-30 for croatian market.
Here is a list of what is available to me. Please tell me what would be the
best choice.

1. MOBIL 1 PROTECTION FORMULA 0W-40

cSt @ 40Âº C 80
cSt @ 100Âº C 14.3
Viscosity Index 187
Pour Point, ÂºC -54
Flash Point, ÂºC 236
Density @15Âº C kg/l 0.855

2. MOBIL 1 FUEL ECONOMY FORMULA 0W-30
This is the only one that is approved with GM 4718M

cSt @ 40Âº C 56
cSt @ 100Âº C 10.3
Viscosity Index 175
Pour Point, ÂºC -54
Flash Point, ÂºC 234
Density @15Âº C kg/l 0.851

3. MOBIL 1 RALLY FORMULA 5W-50

cSt @ 100Âº C 17.5
Viscosity Index 184
Pour Point, ÂºC -54
Flash Point, ÂºC 236

4.MOBIL SUPER FE SPECIAL 5w-30 ( BUT THIS IS NOT MOBIL 1 )

I also wanted to buy mobil 1 5W30 because it`s rec. in the manual.
In germany I got 5W50 mobil 1, itÂ´s perfect for my 92 auto. good fuel economy.

I think a good Synthetic such as Valvoline or Castrol would be fine in 10W-30 if the 5w-30 isn't availible. Mobil 1 is good oil but its not going to hurt your car to run other kinds of oil!

I was also thinking of 0W-30.
I've compared it with Mobil1 5W-30 specs and they look
almost the same.

Any more opinions?

I heard only good things about Mobil1 so I'd like to stick with it, but
I'm using 5w-50 now and I think it's too thick oil at higher temps.
Especially because engine oil temps on ma car never go very high.
