I dont know who you learned it from, but its not a great performance upgrade.
The chips are worthless for performance, good for changing fan settings and keeping the car running cooler.

OUCH- I am at your mercy.
Obviously jumped the gun...
I had been exchanging email and was told the hp increase would be about 20.
Told the drive difference/experience is like night and day.
You have contratsing view. I was going to send the email order but thought I would give it a go round for a froum member to sell it.
Now caution lights are on..

The big numbers come with a chip that makes everything else work together after some extensive mods. Thats when things work. A chip can do a little but contrary to beleif GM does not leave a lot on the table that can be had with a chip.

You don't show any mods now so do NOT get a new chip.
After you do some air flow mods just add an AFPR for tuning; you can bump base TPS setting & timing for a little better throttle response.
Use an aux fan switch to bring the fan on to match a low temp T-stat.

The chip itself, without the engine mods, isn't going to give you the expected results. Save your "chip money" until the time comes that you really need it.Jake

OK - I KO'd the idea, and I REALLY appreciate the feedback.
My next step should be?
The car is stock, in the 100 - 200 dollar range?
I am slipping away from being excited being a vette:owner factor. I really am getting board with the HP as is......

Anything worth doing is going to cost more than $200....1.6 Roller Rockers would be the 'cheapest' of those thats proven to help.
They give roughly 15hp.
