Hooker 2149 and straight angle plugs

Do Hookers have any clearance issues with straight angle plug heads? I know TPIS does, so they're out. If there are clearance problems, could I just use Accel header plugs?

You can use the Accel header plugs with TPIS headers too. I had to go that route on mine.

I am also using Accel shorty plugs with my 2149's.

The 2149 and 2151 Hooker headers are the same, base header. They both fit straight and Chevrolet angled plug heads and their clones. Check out this current thread for more info:

My two posts on this new link addresses the plug angles the Hookers do and don't work with. By,"straight angle plug heads", are you referring to straight plug heads, vs, angled plug heads? Iron headed C4s (1984-part 1986) for which the Hookers are listed to fit have straight plugs.
