Default Tranny gurus, need HELP

I had one bad day yesterday. I was on racetrack and first I lost on
final run against Suzuki Swift with two 1.3 litre 16v engines
and two bottles of NOS. He took me for 0.021 sec.

But it gets only worse. On the way home, on highway at 250+ km/h
my tranny blew up. It felt like it downshifted into 3-rd and my tacho
pointer went into speedo ( 7k rpm + ). I put it into neutral and slowed down.
When I tried to start again it started from 3-rd so I drove slowly home.
Now I can start and it goes from 1-st gear but it can't shift into 2-nd
and definately something broke in tranny because I can hear a lot of
NO GOOD sounds.

I need help. I have a guy in Croatia who is good with automatic
transmissions and im sure that he could rebuild the tranny but I still
haven't decided if I'll let him do this or I'll try this myself.
I would like to know what parts I should order. While im here
I would also like to install shift kit.
I have a few questions about this:

1. I would like to get good stuff for tranny so that it could hold
400-450 flywheel HP. What parts would you recomend?
2. Is there some sort of rebuild kit that I could get?
3. Should I take tranny off and see what broke first?
4. I would like to install shift kit that will allow me to have full control
over tranny. I don't want to have downshifts from 2-nd to 1-st
when I hit WOT at 2500rpm or lower. What kind of shift kit do I
need? Do I need full manual option?

I would like to get as many infos and opinios as I can get before
I get into this adventure.
Please give me all of your experiences, infos, advices................

Thank you

if you have never rebuilt an automatic tranny before , then let a pro do it, they are tricky to do and you will need some specialty tools to do it

I talked to tranny guy and chances are that he's gonna do it but I
still have to order all the parts.

Well, I had never rebuilt a tranny before until mine went out. I always like a challenge and I went for it. I bought the video and watched it like 10 times before breaking into it. There are a lot of hi-po parts you can get for it to help hold the power you want to give it. I totally rebuilt mine and installed a shift kit. Still running good after 10,000 miles to date. Good Luck!
