Front lowering questions?

Front lowering questions?
I'm getting ready to lower the front of my 89. I have a Eckler's front wedge type kit, it say's that it will lower it about an inch and if I remove shims it would lower it an additional 1/4-1/2". Does anyone have any experience with these wedge type (Ecklers) on how much do they actually lower the car? I'm not to thrilled about scraping the front spoiler on driveways and potholes but I'm less thrilled about 2" gaps between my fenderwell and my tires. Any info or pics of lowered cars would be greatly appreciated!

If I remember correctly, the wedge kit and moving the shims lowered my GS about 3/4-1". The wedge kit does not lower it that much by itself. If it is too much by removing the shims, you can always add them back. If you still don't like it, you can always buy some more shims from GM to raise it more.
I really don't think it will be too much though. The wedges and removing the shims made the GS sit perfect IMO. Actually I just moved them to the bottom so I wouldn't have to find shorter bolts.

Thanks Dave! I'll probably remove all the shims and just install the wedge and see how it works out. Like you said I don't think just the wedge would be enough and I could always go back. Thanks again Dave!
