Transmission problem L98 '91
Hi guys..I have had this problem just for a few weeks.
I noticed that if I am driving either in "d" or in overdrive and I hit the gas the transmission stucks between the 2nd and the 3rd gear too much time before shifting.
It means the rpm go too high than before.
Nothing happens if I drive slowly..the gears shift normally from 2nd to 3rd..
I also noticed that my kickdown does not engage anymore..
any ideas?
the transmission was rebuilt before I bought the car..
I am scared it might be something expensive.

Probably 3/4 clutches are worn,if you have it rebuilt,make sure your rebuilder
ck's for low pressure leak in input housing between shell and input shaft after
housing has been reclutched and resealed.I've got several input housings here that had similar problem like yours and it was the input housing that was
leaking that caused failure.I always ck mine at 20psi,if they don't leak then,
they usually don't leak at higher pressures.Let me know if you need more info.

I checked the fluid today and it was below the minimum...could this be the cause?
I stopped the car until I can bring it to the dealer on sunday..
Do you think I might have damaged the transmission?
The car has only 56k miles and, as I told, the transmission had already been rebuilt..
