Re: Question on AFPR and acceptable pressure (gene284)
Is the diaphram in the correct position. Iv'e heard problems when people put the diaphram upside down.
What make is it ? My holley has no problems, but I have read others have had problems with them interfering with plenum.
Re: Question on AFPR and acceptable pressure (gene284)
When I installed my Holley unit I set the static adjustment to about halfway. I did encounter interference with the plenum when I put it back on. The solution was to turn the wheel in about 1.5 turns. At start up this gave me a pressure reading of about 28-30 as I recall. With the pressure guage hooked up, engine running and vacuum line disconnected I set the pressure to 50psi.
The diaphram should have a "cup" where the spring seats. This should face up toward the top of the regulator.
