Default Aftermarket Tach

Getting ready to do my buildup, intend to increase redline to 6500.

My 95 LT1 tach only goes to 6000.

Any suggestions on type and placement of an aftermarket unit? Don't want it to look goofy, but don't want to spring for a full LT4 gauge cluster.

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

check around the salvage yards... and don't limit to looking for a LT4 tach... what about a ZR1 tach? Kinda doubles your chances.

You could just use a shift light. My rev limiter is set to 6500 and my shift light is set to 6200. My factory tach only goes to 6000, kinda neat to see the look on somebody's face when you blow right past the "redline"

FWIW, here's what I did with my L98 dash, not an option for you, but maybe it'll give you ideas.

Thanks, gents. Will keep eye out for the OEM alternatives.

Would be fun to have my wife think the engine is gonna blow up
