Default Gutting your converter

I have a 94 Vette and was wondering if you get much power from gutting your converters? Also how do you keep a code from going off when you gut the converter? One more question, when my gas gauge gets to about 1/4 of a tank and I get on the car hard it tries to die out like its not getting enough gas.Anyone know what causes this.

Thanks

There are no baffles in the tank so whenthe level gets down the fuel sloshes away from the pump under hard accel or cornering and it runs out of gas.GM could have done better on a performance car.

I think most everyone would agree that by gutting the cats you'll see quite an increase in performance, especially if there's any restriction now. If the engines running good I don't think you'll throw any codes just by gutting the cats.

It won't throw any codes on a 94 model. However, I would recommend taking them all the way off. I've had a 84 and a 91 that were gutted and it made the resonance rediculous. My 94 isn't near as bad with them completely gone.

I'm wondering about the resonator myself. I've heard it was heavy, but I'm scared to take it off for the same reason listed above about the gutted kitties.
