Default Difference between LT4 - LT1 fuel rails

I’m using an LT4 intake manifold and LT1 fuel rails. I have read, don’t remember where, that one bank will run lean when not using LT4 fuel rails.
Is this true??

I’m getting split BLM’s at idle and up to full throttle, and I don’t know why.
Changed plugs, O2 sensors, no exhaust leaks

i read in road and track i believe it was back in 96 when they had the article on the new LT4 in the Grand sport, and it said the LT4 had larger fuel rails. Ive never heard of that again and so i believe they are all the same. Try calling your local parts and ask him for the part #s on the 96 LT4 rails and the 96 LT1 rails, to see if they are in fact the same.

I would also think your problem doesnt lie within the rails... many many people have much modified motors running the LT1 rails with no problems.

I just re-read the R&T article from 02/1996. No mention of any changes to the fuel rails; Only changes to the heads, cams & compression ratio.

I did find the following quote from:

http://www.malcams.com/legacy/misc/LT4.htm

"The engine's higher rpm also exceeded the LT1's fuel injector's ability to keep up, so the LT4 got a new fuel rail with 3.5 gram per second (28lbs/hr) injectors, replacing the 3.0 gram (24lbs/hr) injectors of the LT1. Revised fuel-injection system featuring a new fuel rail designed to keep pace with the better breathing, higher revving engine."

Great suggestion on contrasting the part #'s on the LT1 vs LT4 rails!

Arnold, the fuel rails are the same on the 94-96 LT1 and the LT4. The fuel pressure regulator for the 96 LT1 and LT4 are the same, but different from the 94-95 LT1. (the one for the 96 engines is about half the price of the 94-95) L side rail 17113250 $396.74 R side 17113249 $412.61 Crossover tube 17113088 $33.16 94-95 reg 17107010 $127.09 96 reg 17091410 $68.98 94-96 inj 17124248 $129.37 (yea, each) LT4 inj 17124251 $123.66.
