Default need lower shockabsorber sleeve measurement

I got the measurement for the metal sleeve in the lower shockabsorber, for my 88, from this forum, a few months ago - I've tried using the search but it's useless - sometimes it shows only one post from me, maximum of 5.

Someone replied with the measurements about 6-8 weeks ago. I had my shocks reconditioned but one of the sleeves and rubber bush has parted company with the shock and I need to give the repairer the measurement again.

Its the sleeve that slides over the lower bolt on the rear wheel hub and has a rubber bush bonded to it that is then fitted in the lower eye of the shock absorber - I'd guess it's the same as other years - - I need the ID OD and length

Hope someone has one in their shed and can measure for me, thanks

Seems to me we did this a while back. OK, according to my precise measurements....

The shock these measurements come from is a KYB. :rolleyes The section of tube is a thinwall so the critical numbers are;

1-5/8" (40mm) long
21/32" (17mm) ID
3/4" (19mm) OD

Thanks Jr Riflecoach, YES, we did and I think it was you who gave me the answer.

I got new sleeves made but one of them recently popped off the recond shocky and was lost during the process of sending the shocky back under warranty, I didn't realise it was missing until I was asked for the measurements again this morning.

Thanks very much for coming back with the answer (again) much appreciated.

It seems everything I get done on my vette has to be done again and sometimes again - There are days when I think it's cursed, but I enjoy driving it very much - it's my daily driver so currently I am driving around with only 3 shockys - very hard to tell the difference as I got the shocks recond softer.
