Default Question on intake plenum

Hi All,

I want to replace my ERG valve. I have to take off the plenum. I have all the Torq bolts and the threaded fitting at the rear. How do I deal with the U shaped aluminum tubes on each side of the plenum ?

Thanks All,

Don

You should be able to get the plenum off without messing with the runners. It won't seem like the plenum will come off because they get stuck on there but with a little persuasion it should break free.

As stated, no real need to deal with the lower runner bolts. The first time the plenum comes off is the hardest. A dead blow hammer comes in handy at this time. Have a upper intake gasket set as you might damage the ones currently there.
