that could be true but beings i got the pump out might as well put new one in the old one has about 139,000 miles on it and i don't drive lightly.

According to your opening post, you said the pump was the FIRST thing you replaced. Your mileage definitely puts the pump on the "suspect" list, but hard driving doesn't work the pump any harder than idling. My comment refered to throwing MORE parts at it. Good luck, and...
