Default Wrong Serpentine Belt???

I'm changing my belt this afternoon.
The inner belt is the new one [outer belt old one].

Did they send me the wrong belt, or do they actually stretch this much.

Old belt says 'Gates' Micro V K060923

New belt says 'Gates' Micro V K060860

Thanks in Advance

Looks like the wrong size. The built might stretch a little over time, but I don't think they can stretch that much. If the old one fit snug/tight, I doubt you'll even be able to get that new on ...

Please Do Not Answer this question.
I just replaced the old one and its such a tight fit that the new one they sent me cannot be the right one.

This is the 2nd item I will send back from this same order.

They just lost a customer.

Assuming by the 88 in your name means it's an '88. The K060923 is the right belt. It's a common belt and you should just by it from a local auto parts store that has Gates. The part number is the size. the 6 means 6 ribs and the rest of the number is roughly length.

If what you are saying is true, then I have a problem.
There is no way on this earth that I can fit the smaller [new] belt on.
I am sure that all the pulleys [etc] are stock.

I'll have to call the supplier & deal with it.

Default Gates Belts

I ran into this with my LT-1. Had to finally brink old one to show them what I wanted, the cross reference book was wrong. Same with Front shocks on my 84. The Gabriel cross was very wrong...

I have had no luck with Gates belts. Try a Kelly Springfield belt...much better quality.
