Ignition Module - would it cause breakup at high revs?
The guy who installed my DFI said he had to put two in because the car would break up at 6K on the dyno. I don't trust anything that guy said but now the car is doing the same thing. Is it reasonable to suspect the ignition module? If so, what would cause this to happen?
I had a intermittent miss last week and thought the same thing......so I researched here and third gen and the general concensus was they ether work or they don't.completely dead....then I started looking else where and found a burnt plug boot.........msd plug boots suck, they burn were the stockers didn't......hummmmmm..... anyway look else were don't for get the easy stuff and good luck

I had the same thing happen to my 92. It would pop and bang out at around 6k. I added an MSD 6AL and fixed it instantly. You will just need the harness to connect it to your factory harness.
yikes. Hate to have to spend another $200+ for MSD etc.. Are you saying that the aftermarket modules (accel etc..) will provide more spark up high? I just put all new wires on it. I am going to check the plugs tonight. Other than that, I am at a loss.
