I havent looked under the car yet, but what is involved with pulling the main driveshaft? Is it possible to get it out without the removal of exhaust? What other obsticles might be in the way?? It is a 87 w/auto

Thanx
I just removed mine because I'm swapping to a D44. But I really don't see how you could remove it with the exhaust in place. You might be able to get it out without moving the c-beam, but would be REALLY tight. Best to at least remove the rear bolts and loosen the front to move it to the side a little so it give you more clearance to slide it out.
Its really pretty easy once you have the exhaust off.
Exhaust MUST come of, the C-beam can stay on though
It is easiest to put on with the front C-beam bolts out but with the C-beam still on. This way you can very easily slide the tail shaft and the drive shaft together.
