Default Tpis long tubes and cats!

Has anyone been able to put there cats right after their long tubes? I bought 2, 3" dynatech cats and want to put them right after the collectors, but the headers point out so close to the floorboard that it worries me to put that much heat near the glass. Any suggestions? Its hard to tell by the pic but its within 1"

I have the tpis headers and dynatech cats after the collector. My muffler shop installed flanges after the collectors and about a 3" peice of pipe to another flange then flanged the cats....so I can take out the cats and install a test pipe if wanted. lemme see if I can find some pics of it. If I can I will send them to you.

Default Headers/

I don't know how the dimensions of the TPIS headers compare to the Exotic Muscle long tubes. But, on my EM headers I slid the Dynatech Powercats on right over the collectors. I cut two slits on the cats and clamped them to the headers, with no leaks.

The problem isnt putting them on. Its that I am worried about them being so close to the fiberglass tunnel. Just wondered if anyone else had theirs this close?

A. Why aren't you just putting the one CAT after the collector?
D. The CATS should have a shielded-side and they are cooler than the pipes going into them. No problems if they are shielded.

I have the TPIS Long Tubes with Randon Tech bullets cats mounted directly on them and Corsa exhaust. I didn't have a clearance problem due to the size of the cats. However we did glue heat shield material to the bottom of the car. I haven't had any problems and the floor inside is cool to the touch.

That is so clean. Nice job. Now, I want to get under my car again and clean it up.
