Replacing the side window weatherstrip was going fine, if not a little time consuming, until I didn't seat the guide rod bolt properly and subsequently exploded the passanger side window.
Can I buy a replacement online, or is it time to surrender and go to a shop?

one of the brothers here is an auto glass guy. I think his tag is glassman66. Perhaps someone can help find him. He can direct you to a good deal on new glass, I think.
Or try Chris at Superior Chev in Kansas City.

Day and weekend and subsequent week (well, so far). On the positive side, I didn't let the failure leave my dreams shattered on the floor like so many pieces of tempered glass. Nope, I went ahead and did the drivers side weatherstripping, and I didn't break the glass! It went much faster.
I ordered a replacement window from Contemporary Corvette (they're a corvette only junkyard), $75 for the window, $10 for a replacement latch for the center glovebox, and about $25 for shipping. Not the end of the world.
They said the glass will have scratches, so I shouldn't expect to be able to replace my glass if it's slightly scratched. Hehe, not a problem.
Thanks for the links, I'd have been out a fortune if I'd gone to a dealer.
