Do you recognize the three, code 12's, before hand? Does it do this three times and then go back to code 12? If the answers are, "yes", and from the description, I'd say it's a code 32.
Yeah I got the code 12 first three times also the check engine light only comes on at the first start of the day then when I get back in to go somewhere else its gone?? I just finished installing LPE base manifold, large tube runners, ported plenum and 24Lb accel inj during the process I broke the wire off the egr pipe. I had a buddy solder it back on though could it be bad now the connection is good???

The check engine light should be on, whenever the ignition is on with the engine not running, such as before you start the engine. The factory service manual for my '84 does not show a code 32. Consult yours.
The engine light stays on even after I start it up and drive off, but If I were to say, go to work come out a little while later and leave it doesnt come on? Only when the cars been sitting over night
You would want a reprogrammed EPROM to take advantage of the upgrades. Tell the programmer to delete Code 32 and you can disconnect the EGR stuff. I would recommend www.fasterproms.com to do it for you. Their's is a truely custom unit.
