False Knock counts??
Hi,
I have a 1992 LT1 and I think I am getting false knock counts (code 43). I do not have any scan software however, I checked the knock circuit (as per my shop manuel) and all checks out fine. This car is stock but is also used for club racing. I have just changed the plugs. The next thing will be wires as I just noticed some of them arcing. Can a slight exhaust leak cause this? What about a valvetrain tap? I have read some other post and was wondering can a new chip be burned to make the knock sensor circuit less sensitive? Can I make the knock sensor less sensitive? I would gladly buy a new chip from a forum member.
