Sorry to ask so basic a question, but my Haynes manual doesn't seem to have this.
Does anyone know the capacity of the rear end differential? I am wondering how many quarts of gear lube to buy and have just a bit more than needed for any later top-offs.
Thanks for your help on such a basic question.
Brad
Thanks Comp, I appreciate the help. I was going to go the Mobile 1 gear lube route, but there is a little moisture around the rear seal. Since synthetics find the leaks, I will likely go with regular gear lube for now until I get a chance to replace the seal and go Mobile 1 at that time.
Again, thanks!

I would try just that is I was an adventurous type. I can't afford a rear end leak right now. It is very tempting to go the Mobile 1 route and take my chances, but if it turned into a real leakage situation, I would be in trouble. For now I'll likely go the dino lube way just to get something cleaner in there. Not looking too good right now. Thanks for the advice. Perhaps I can look on this temporary dino lube as a "flush/rinse" job with the real stuff to come later! I'm sweating the install of the drain plug kit on this thing on top of all this. Hope I don't kill the rear end trying to get it in. The directions are a bit confusing in trying to describe the proper angle to drill the hole.
