Burn off relates to cleaning the MAF wire. When you turn off the engine, the ECM will activate a relay to burn any foreign matter off the MAF wire. Never heard of a "burn off module". Just a burn off relay. Maybe the 85 does it differently?

The MAF has two relays ( they are identical) one powers the MAF and the other does what he said after you shut off the engine! The relays are cheap and easily replaceable!
