so it should help solve my door ding problem i have been having as of late.
There are only two ways that is going help to stop door dings. The first is by the damage YOU are doing when YOU open your doors The other is if you leave them open when the car is unattended. Better suited to a Honda in my humble oppinion. Find something else to rice out.
What do you guys think? Body kit vs Lambo doors...
Notice that web site says they are just instructions and the parts are seperate. I think it looks cool and I would love to do it to mine, but it can get a bit expensive. I think most kits that come with the parts cost around $950 and they require extensive fabrication since they are not made for Corvettes specifically.
I saw a Toyota Celica with that done to it whilst visiting Kona last week. It was pretty trick. The door pushed out from the car, then went up. To close, the reverse.
Now if your car is strictly a show car and you have money to spend, go ahead. But if you drive your car a lot, I wouldn't do it. $3,000 can do a lot more for your car than a mod which will kill the value of it.
For the money a custom interior would go much further.

For me, that money belongs under the hood. And I'm not talking about pretty, shiney, trinkets. I'm talking things that WORK. If they happen to look good, that's OK too.

RACE ON!!!
Bingo! Well stated. Also the Honda comment. To the original post, you'll find that almost no one here appreciates slaughtering the value of the beloved corvette by trashing it with silly lines of kits, doors or whatever. Sounds like you need to get rid of some cash, take your great '96 and put the $$ under the hood where it belongs......the rest of the nonsense doesn't count, no one cares
except for maybe the ricers. Sorry to sound harsh, but I hate to see a corvette of any year destroyed with kit gimmicks or other sundries.
