Tach Filter
Does anyone know of a good source for the tachometer module (AKA filter) for a 1990? The 85-89 are still available through Ecklers or MA. GM has discontinued them. The part is burried in the engine wiring harness so the parts yards (I called Comtemporary Corvette) will not separate from the harness (harness is $450). This part's failure is a common reason for tach non op. I would appreciate any assistance.

Just bypass it. It is not buried in the harness, it is bolted to the back of the motor, below the distributor and the wiper motor on the driver's side. I believe that it is bolted to the cylinder head or to one of the tranny/motor bolts. It is a black cylinder with a wire going in and a wire going out. I would try to bypass it first. My have been running without a filter for 2 or 3 months with no problems.
