4+3 2nd gear prob

My 85 does the exact same thing when I decelerate. I am aware of it, so I just hold the shifter back when I am decelerating. I thought of maybe looking at the linkage adjustments but not on my back on a crushed stone driveway. I know it's not the best answer, but everything else works fine and I don't want to break something else attempting to fix this. Simple but it works!

Back before I ever bought a C4 there was a Vette dealer in Tulsa OK, who said the second gear was cut/designed bad and that there was a replacement for it. He had two C4s in his shop at the time and he was swapping the gears in both.
Ive had two 4+3 cars and never had that problem....just the damn OD going out all the f'ing time.

I just had some oil seal issuses repaired on my 4+3 and during the process I called gear venders in FL.....one of the questions he asked was whether the trans slipped out of 2nd gear, I asked why and he said
it was a common sign of needing a rebuild......poor reverse was also common.
