Driving yesterday, normal stuff, no abuse, I never do burnouts just stand on the gas when accelerating.
I have a 93 with an auto trans
So there is a nasty sound & all of a sudden I am coasting, at least D still works although it makes nasty sounds occasionally. What happened ? How much to fix ? Thanks
Reverse works fine, didnt try 1 or 2 but I think its just OD thats gone
Yes, what Wheelman said and I would also suggest a .500 boost valve and a billet 4th servo and a kevlar band. I used a 9 clutch 3-4 clutch pack and a new seperator plate is a good idea as well. I have nearly $500 in new parts alone in my tranny not counting the convertor. A tranny cooler is another item that is worth every penny.
Thanks, What kind of Hi-Po products are there out there so this doesnt happen again ?
As previously mentioned,I would also suggest trans cooler such as the B&M Super Cooler. Definately a good idea since B&M claims most trans fail do to overheating than anything else. The cost is less than $60.
