Could there be any difference between buying the throttle body bypass pipe from mid or just using a longer hose and making a one hose run out of it?
I know the flow would be greater as there would be no reduction in diameter for the pipe but....is there some freaky heat thing I am missing as the hose would pass under the throttle body?
On my '95 I just took the larger coolant hose form the driver side of throttle body, and slid it onto the steam tube. Re-used same clamp. No leaks. The steam tube is the metal tube running along passenger side head that the other throttle body coolant hose, the smaller elbow shaped one, attaches to.
No stuff to buy, preserves condensed coolant flow from the steam tube back into the system
P.S. Once in a while you'll hear someone talking about just plugging off the steam tube-- Big no no! It needs to be allowed to feed scavenged coolant back into the system else the heads can get hot spots and warp.
