Follow the pair of black wires from the hood lights down to the headlight wells. there you should find a connector (one each side) that can be unplugged. No damage will result.

FYI. I installed a small switch on each light to kill the lites when the hood is open.

On the '90 there is a connector on each side of car in the front part of the engine compartment (not on the hood). There is one for each light. They are near the headlight connectors.

If your '95 is like my '93, down in the front drivers side, down where the round plastic ball is. There is a fuse holder. remove the cap and take out the fuse.

I moved the wire from the right light so it picked up power at the left light. One switch turns them both off now.

I just leave mine unplugged and made dummy plugs for the weather pack connectors to keep dirt and corrosion out. I know where they're at if I ever need them.

I normally just unplug the wires that lead to the connectors around the wheel well if I have to open hood long periods of time.

unhooking the wires at the connector is a 5 second job for each light.

I unpluged my '85 and wrapped elec/duct tape around both the open ends. I'm too much of an under the hood guy to have those lights on all the time.

I just pull the underhood fuse on my '92 as explained in the Owner's Manual.

The early(?) C-4's don't have a separate fuse for these underhood lights. These lights are part of another lighting system. My '93 as in the other '92 at least had a separate fuse for these lights, just for guys like me . I don't what year they made the change-over.
