engine problem

Default engine problem

have a 89 just had it tuned up runs great, but every couple of days
it dies at low speed but will start again and run great again can not
notice any pattern. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suspect the IAC and the TB port where it screws in need cleaning. Probably a carbon buildup.

not sure what tour talking about, is this something i can do if so
can you give me some direction or should i have my mechanic do?

If you're mechanically inclined-yes. It's just a matter of removing the TB-using carb cleaner and nothing stronger than a tooth brush to clean it. The IAC is attached to the TB, and it too should be cleaned.Hope you have some kind of manual. BUT-I'm wondering when was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

thanks for all the info, thats what i thought it was the fuel filter so
i had them change it for me, but still had the problem
