Default Torque converter: need advice

I may have to replace the torque converter in my 92 vette. I want to stay with the converter lock up set up, and a little higher stall. I have been looking at Yank converters, who has one and how do you like it? or any one else has some thing that works as good?

Just put my refurbished 9" Pro-Torque 3,000 Stall Racer Lockup back in with my newly rebuilt 4L60E.....Can't live without this converter, temporarily went back to the stock 1,600 stock converter and hated it.

I'd recommend Protorque anyday...they have great service too

I have a Vigilante 2800 and it's great on the street and strip. No issues.

What is the difference between the two converters? Why a 3,000 stall speed vrs a 1600?

Would you get better in-town gas mileage with the 1600 vrs the 3,000?
