My right headlight on the Corvette I just bought started to only go up half way sometimes and moves around and sometimes gos all the way up but moves around. Do I need a new headlight motor or can this one be fixed. I have not a clue. I am waiting for some repair books My first Vette. Thanks
Thanks I will go to Home Depot and get the bushings, but I can not find anything that says Tech Tips and I do not see any way to do a search. I see the Tech/Perf. As you can see I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Thanks in advance if you can tell me how to do this.

It looks like that section of the Forum is temporarily unavailable until Troy gets all his new hardware back on line.
In the meantime, try this link. It outlines the procedure very well.
I used the Delrin bushings from Corvette Central in my 88... solved all the problems you are having... ... just buy the bushings now and fix it on a weekend.
88-96 factory headlight motors contain a drive gear that is gel packed, and it is this packing that fails and allows the motors to free wheel. The repair kit contains 3 Delrin bushings that replace the gel and allow the motors to operate properly. Easy installation - one kit needed per motor. Instructions included.
