Default Haltech E6GMX on Vette -85

Hay. is it possible to mont Haltech E6GMX on my C4-85. And what do I have to change? anyone here who try..

My Questians
"I'm interested in a E6GMX for 1985 Corvette with Tpi and maf-sensor. Will this work or should we replace with map-sensor?"

This i answer from Haltech in Australia.
"Unfortunatelly this vehicle was never released here in Australia so i do not have any info on compatability. Please find attached the pinout diagram for the E6GM - if this is similar to the pinout for the corvette then the two units may indeed be compatible."

I don't know what to do. so if someone here has try a haltech on his/her corvette 1985 please let me know..

I have the E6GM in -85 vette and its working pretty well...
It needed the maf->map sensor change but that was pretty easy...

You need to get the pin order figured out first...
I had the Haynes manual and the pin order there was dead wrong...
You should be able to find the right order from the net and just change it to fit the Haltechs pin order...

Does the E6GMX box have the same pin connectors as the E6GM?
if so then the swap should be pretty easy...

Just check the pin order and wire the MAP and you are ready.

Not sure about the EGR working since I don't have any emission equipment left...A/C works just fine...(actually I don't have that either)
Coolant fan is controlled by Haltech...and you can adjust it.
That start switch thing is is controlled by shifter so it should work.

I guess you lose those emission controls..at least some of them.
...and you lose the MPG reading in the dash... AND you lose the knock sensor control...so you need to adjust the ign.advance manually.
