This is not related to Corvette but I have a question how easy or how hard to remove and install fuel pump on my "Winter Car" it is a 1990 Acura Integra LS. I try to get on the Acura forum but man they are sucks big times, After I registered they won't let me post and all the BS. So I hope some of you have some experience with the Acura Integra maybe some one here can help. I think the tank is in the under carriage. Thanks
The pump is likely installed from the top of the tank, requiring the tank to be dropped to remove it.
Someone suggested that, for my 3rd gen F-body I could have just cut a hole in the hatch floor above the tank to access the pump. Then a patch over the hole would have been covered by the carpeting.
Perhaps a Helms on the Integra will shed some light on the issue if you don't get specifics here.
A lot of imports allow access to the tank through a door in the trunk. Lift up the carpet and spare tires and such and you just might find a lid you can unbolt and get access to the gas tank. That's how all of the Mitsu's, Nissans, Mazdas, and Toyotas I've worked on are. Don't know on a Honda.
Yeah, Bruce...don't drop the tank! It's either under the hatch/trunk carpet or under the back seat bottom. That's how all the Civics and Accords are, so I am sure it's the same.

Yes this is true. Not sure on the Ack's though. But peal back the trunk carpeting and I THINK there is an access hole thats held down by a bolt.
