I was at a Goodguys show recently and spoke with a Flowmaster rep. I was complaining about resonance and a "tinny" sound out of the old standard Flowmasters. The rep said to purchase the Stainless steel tip Delta series and they would sound better.
Well, outstanding is the only term that comes close. Even my wife, who hated the sound before, said they sound a million times better. They have a low bass sound and are very quiet cruising with the windows up. No more headaches.
Summit had the pair for $380 and I sould the old ones with chrome extension tips for $340 on Ebay. New mufflers for $40.
I have the standard 50 series. Has anyone had the opporotunity to compare these and the deltas? Seems like whenever I buy something for the vette there's a newer, better model available a few months later! Didn't think I'd have to worry about that with an 18 year old car
