headlight problem, it wont come up
hello fellow vette owners, i have a 1984 vette, sometimes my driver side head light doesnt pop up, sometimes it pops up 5-15 mins later after i lifted the headlight switch, the passanger headlight has no problems, does anyone else have this problem? it would be great if i got some help about this tiny problem.

I had the same problem with my '87, which uses the same motor/gear set up as your '84. At first, if I adjusted the gray button you can find at the bottom (when the hood is up) of the actuator/motor assembly, the light would pop up and that helped for a while.
However, based on advice I received from other forum members, I took my motor assembly apart to check the gear(s) -- I found a couple of teeth missing on the big, yellowish/white one. I've got the new gears and hope to have them in sometime this weekend.

Yep time to rebuild the headlight motor. There is a tread in the tech section that tells you step by step.
