I can't seem to figure out why she won't rev past 6K. Zelement is having the same problem over on FI/Nitrous so I thought I'd bring the question over here. After the install of my DFI, the vette hits what seems like a rev limiter at 6000 rpm. I see black smoke trailing has I hit this point. So far, I have replaced the plugs and wires. I thought it might be the ign module because the jerk who installed the DFI claimed that he had to put in two modules to get it to rev. I put in an Accel module with the same results. Also switched out the new DUI coil for my old stocker. Same problem. It happens as revved in neutral or under load. It did not have this problem prior to the DFI installation. I don't know what in the program could cause this however. I have set the limiters to 6700. I was hoping to track it tomorrow and this problem is happening right at my power peak (6100) argggg. Any suggestions? Thanks

Just a thought, but which tachometer is this 6,000 rpm at? Your stock guage might be lying to you, what's the laptop say?
Black smoke means that it's killing the spark, I don't know what the DFI uses to limit the revs, anyways, we know it's not a fuel problem.
