i do it about every month, i see now change in idle or performance after it went thourgh the system. honestly, fuel injector cleaner is a joke. the injectors really need to be back flushed.

My "88 gets stored for the winter. I put Stabil in over the winter. When I start it up in the spring I use Chevron Synthetic Fuel System cleaner in the first ank. After that I just use Shell V-Power or Amoco Ultra gasolines. Each of which have 5x the Federally mandated detergency.
I've never had any problems with this approach.

I have used Chevron Techron concentrate in the past with no appreciable differences noted afterwards. There was some controversy as to whether or not cleaners should even be used in our cars at all, but the consensus now seems to just be to use quality fuels and do preventative maintenance when necessary (i.e., replace bad injectors) to keep the Vette running tiptop.

depending on the vintage, injector cleaning is discouraged. It can cause damage to the injector.
The later units have the motor systems cooled by the gas, cleaners are very toxic to the injector servo.
