Belt Tensioner

Any one ever replace the belt tensioner on a L98?
My 1991 L98 belt tentioner is making a lot of noise so I want to replace it myself. Any advice or direction would be appreciated.

It is pretty straightforward! Remove the belt, use a 1/2" breaker bar to put tension on the tensioner to remove the belt

Then you simply unbolt the tensioner (look at the new one first to seewhat you have to unbolt) re install and reinstall the belt

I found it hard to get locally. NAPA, PEP Boys, Autozone do not show it as a stock item. Ended up getting it from Ecklers

I took mine off to replace the water pump it wasn't to bad but the bolt hit the cross member I had to loosen the bracket that holds the A/C compressor first and tilt it up to clear the cross member.
