Ok folks, I bought a new PKE and now I cannot get it to program to my car. I have a 96 coupe and have followed all of the directions in the manual and on here. I get as far as having the Passive Entry light come on but as soon as I turn the ignition key off the light goes out....It does not blink as stated in the manual. what do I need to do to get this thing to work? Is there a way to reset the whole system??? Someone please help because I do not want to give up on this thing!!!
Was it ever working for you before? The reason I ask is that when I bought my '94 I didn't get a PKE fob. After I bought one, I was unable to program it. Turns out that the PKE receiver was crapped out. After I replaced the receiver, which is $200 and requires the dash to be removed, everything worked.
I have tried many times...just will not go into program mode. I think the Passive System light is supposed to blink when in program mode. This is after you turn off the key. Whenever I turn the key off the light goes out. I have tried without turning the key off also...still no good. If this keeps up I just might have to get rid of the 96 and get a new C6! All over a PKE fob....lol
Mine does the same thing....I think the module has received two transmitters in memory and won't accept another. The dealer said the PKE module was probably bad. I agree but don't want let them play "tear my dash apart and see" So, I will wait for a donor car to come along Good luck and let me know if you score
