A/C Blower **** install

I just received a new A/C blower **** -
1984-89 Air Conditioning Control **** With Spring
Part# 37507
From Eckler’s

I think I have the spring inserted correctly, but it seems like it takes TOO MUCH force to push the **** on the pin.
The flat spot on the pin and the **** are lined up in the correct position, and I think I have the spring inserted the only way it will go in.
Anyone have any details? Pictures? Description?
Or just, “hey stupid, push it on”?

I bought one from G.M. for an 85 with manual A/C. I just lined up the flat spots and gave it a shove. It went on tight. Thats about all there is to it.

Thanks ! I just went out to my car and did it. I didn't have the spring pushed into the **** far enough the first time. DOH!
