AFPR and Base Fuel Pressure FP
I searched the site, and only thing I could find was what people with 383s are setting their base.
What is base for a stock car?
Then set the AFPR to that value as the baseline fuel pressure.
If you didn't take that data before installing the AFPR, try 43-44psi; that's the setting on late L98s.

I had it set at 40 with vacuum disconnected, now have it at 44 with it disconnected.
One thing now, since adding this, I can't start the car right up. Previous, get in the car, turn the key, starts right up. Now, get in, turn the key, here it crank over and over and over, and then it starts. Like the fuel pump can't primer it fast enough. Did this at 40 and 44.
I have been having some bog issues, and thought replacing the fuel filter, AFPR, O2 senor, and plugs would fix it. Looking to be maybe fuel pump or injectors maybe.
What is a tall-tale sign the Fuel Pump is going?
If the FP won't prime the rail, check the FP fuse and the relay.
Since the AFPR is the latest work area, if it doesn't hold prime, I would check around there for fuel leaks.
When my FP died it was sudden. I pulled out of a parking lot onto the street and the car suddenly sputtered and died, with no fuel pressure at the Schraeder.
If you have a fuel press. gage with a long hose, tape it to the OUTSIDE of thr winshield and rdtest with a passenger watching for a pressure drop.
