Default 1988 Fuse Panel

In my 1988 fuse panel there are four metal cased fuses at the far right hand side. Can anyone tell me what the bottom one is for. I was checking fuses for my door locks and turn signals, when I touched that bottom fuse, and it was excessively hot. I removed it so it could cool off. The car starts and runs without it. Any ideas.

Don't know if it matters, but I just had my battery go bad, and after I changed it, the locks and turn signals will not work. The car had not been driven for a few days, when I found the above mentioned fuse.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bob

The lower right "can" is labeled "PWR ACCY" and provides power to the door locks and power seats.

I have an '86 and I noticed that some of the places on the fuse panel have no fuses in them. My question is should they all have one??

I think those open spots are spares or used for an accessory not included on your particular car.

For example, my shop manual shows a 5th slot down the right side but has no call-out for any fuse in that location.
