Changed Starter - now won't start
1985 C4 - She has been sitting patiently about 4 weeks while these Florida hurricanes moved out. Was running before parked but had starter prob. Today I got around to putting in the new starter. No problems with the change-out, except now it won't start. Problem with - having set ? or could the Anit knock sensor wiring ( which looked like crap ) be causing the problem ? Thruns over well, acts like it's no spark or no fule, but with FI I don't know which way to go with the fuel deal. Give me a carb & I'll force it down her throat, but with FI I'm lost. Thanks

You check an FI car for spark, the same as a carburetor car. Easiest check for fuel is with a pressure gauge. The knock sensor wire has nothing to do with the problem. Not THIS one, anyway. Got gas?

It has gas, actually added an extra 5 gal after starting prob, guage now shows 1/2 Tank. Is it possible for the FI to leak down havinf sat, and how do you reprime one ? or does the fuel pump just supply pressure & gas ?
