Default Which Valve seals do I need?

Putting in new LT4 valve springs in my 92 LT-1. It has 143K and I need to go ahead and replace everything I can in this job. Which seals should I get?

Valve Seals List

Which ones will fit my heads for an LT-1? I need to do intake and exhaust I'm sure. Am I on the right track here? :o

Your parts source should have a listing for your engine. I don't know much in particular about the LTx engines, but in everything else I've worked on, I've installed intake valve seals on both the intakes AND the exhausts. Go with a reputable, known, brand name.

CFI-EFI, maybe I should get new factory Valve seals from GM? I guess it really wouldn't make a difference would it?

How about these?

Those would be fine. Generally, I shy away from "dealer" parts. Despite the name on the package, you have to know that GM doesn't MAKE valve stem seals. They buy them from one of the reputable suppliers, as I suggested you do. The intake seal, listed in your link, is the same part number I show in my 1984-1989 Corvette parts book. The exhaust part number is different, but I'll bet a nickel against a donut, that if I went in to order MY part number for the exhausts, for MY '84, that I'd find that my part number was superseded by your number. Therefore, it appears your LT engine has nothing over my Crossfire, valve seal wise. I have found that equal or better quality is available in the aftermarket for most items, at a better price. Often the "aftermarket" part is the same one the OEM is buying. With THAT kit, you are stuck with exhaust seals, which *I* would avoid, in favor of using intakes on the exhausts. AutoZone handles FelPro, which is what I installed on my car this spring. I "think" they were cheaper, they were readily available, and they were freight free.

RACE ON!!!

Thanks for the info. I will probably go on down to autozone and ask for 16 of the Felpro's.
