Default tpis headers

if i want to eliminate the egr tube i need the block off plate and how do i plug the header?? that the tube goes to??also do i have to reburn my chip?? will the car still run good i will have a check engine light??

here's what I did with TPIS long tubes.

I made a block off plate out of an old mechanical fuel pump cover plate I had laying around.

I had the EGR turned off in the PROM to prevent any EGR codes from showing up.

When I had the stock exhaust manifolds on the car, I just used a pipe cap from Ace hardware to block it.

Later cut the air tubes completely off the exhaust manifolds and had the holes welded shut.

If your headers have the air tubes for the EGR, you can do the same. It gives you a lot of clearance - for changing spark plugs and such - if you cut them off and have the holes welded.
