OK, Where are you supposed to store the flat rear tire?
I had to drop the convertible top, move up the seats, tilt the seatbacks forward, so that I could wedge the rim behind the seats!!
At least it wasn't raining! Looked like a monkey driving with the seat in that position....What am I missing? The 285/40x17 certainly doesn't fit where the spare goes? Or does it?
Yep, the carrier does drop to hold a regular tire. Which makes me think that anyone who still carries the spare might want to replace it with a real tire mounted on a real wheel and just rotate the spare along with the other 4.

Most of us are running directional tires and wheels which makes rotation a problem.

Not only that, but radials in general should only be rotated front to rear on the same side. Once they have been run in one direction, that should not be changed.
Hmmmm, The manager at the local Discount tire told me that front to back only tire rotation on radials is an old wives tale...
Anyone have thoughts on that?
